Proverbs 3:6 “In everything you, put God first, and he will direct you, and crown your efforts with success.”
1. Why did I choose my confirmation verse?
I chose my verse because I think in everything you do you should put God first. And if you put God first like the verse says, He will direct you to success, as long as you keep faith in him and worship him. I also chose this verse in hopes of it guiding me in the future. I know that in my life I will have to make many decisions and it comforts me knowing that I will not be alone in my decisions, I will always have God with me. I also like this verse because it helps me realize that God is in everything I do and if I trust in him my life will work out the way He wants it to.
2. How has my faith developed over the last 2 years?
I have a better understanding of my faith through the Lord’s Prayer, the Apostles’ Creed, and the Ten Commandments. These have helped my faith develop by showing me how God wants us to live. The Lord’s Prayer has showed me that if I trust in him He will deliver me. The Apostle’s Creed has helped my faith develop by telling me about Jesus and how he helped a bunch of people and saved us on the cross. The Ten Commandments help my faith develop by showing me the way God wants us to live and how He wants us to be respectful to others.
3. How am I planning on being a part of the body of Christ here at Trinity?
I will hit the ground running by serving as an usher next month! I look forward to this duty since I’ve always wanted to do this job. It is hard for me to say what other roles I will play but I will put God first and let him lead me in being a part of the body of Christ here at Trinity. I know there are many service roles here at church and I can’t say what role God will put me in but when He does lead me to a role I will do my best!
I also want to thank Arlyn Parde for being my mentor and helping me get through this last year of confirmation. I enjoyed the talks we had and hope to be able to continue our friendship.

Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
1. Why did I choose my confirmation verse?
I chose this verse because it reminds me of how I can achieve things with God. It signifies strength and how God helps us do things in our daily lives. Philippians 4:13 helps me feel confident in myself and what I can do. It also reminds me that God is always there and has helped us in everything we achieve in our lives.
2. How has my faith developed over the last 2 years?
I have learned lots about the meaning of sacraments performed during services. Confirmation has helped me think about how I can use what I have learned in church services in the real world to help other people. I have become more involved in services and understand biblical concepts better.
3. How am I planning on being a part of the body of Christ here at Trinity?
I want to continue to lead the Children’s bells during services. I hope to be able to read lessons during services and help usher. I will continue to attend services regularly. I hope to participate in Youth group and maybe join the choir.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that who so ever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
1. Why did I choose my confirmation verse?
I chose John 3:16 as my verse because it talks about how God created the world and how everyone believes in the world. Also, it talks about how people should not perish but have everlasting life. It also talks about how He gave his only Son to save us in the world we live in now.
2. How has my faith developed over the last 2 years?
My faith has developed greatly in these last couple years of confirmation. These last couple years helped me believe in our Lord more and more every week. Ok, let’s be honest, I wasn’t really excited for confirmation at first. I thought it was a waste of time but now I know it’s not. My faith has grown so much it’s helped me grow and learn new things every day. It’s also helped me know how He’s helped us get through life.
3. How am I planning on being a part of the body of Christ here at Trinity?
I’m planning on becoming a part of the church by ushering and becoming part of the Youth group. I think Youth group will be really fun with doing all these activities and helping others out. I will also usher. I feel like this is what a lot of people do because it helps out tremendously but also is easy. I will help clean the church and help read.
I can’t thank you enough, pastor, for putting up with our loud, obnoxious, annoying, hyper class. Thank you again, pastor.

Psalm 100:5 “For the Lord is good; his steadfast loves endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.”
1. Why did I choose my confirmation verse?
I chose this verse because it speaks out the most to me. It also reminds me that God will always love me no matter what I do. It also reminds me that He will be there for me. I think it means we should rely less on ourselves and put more trust in God. By putting more trust in God our faith grows.
2. How has my faith developed over the last 2 years?
Over the past 2 years, I have learned a lot about God. I’ve learned more about his rules and his Son. I’ve also learned that being a good Christian doesn’t mean going to church every Sunday. It also means following the commandments, putting all trust in God and Jesus, trying to improve in the eyes of God, and much more.
3. How am I planning on being a part of the body of Christ here at Trinity?
I plan to be in Youth group once I’m done with confirmation. I will also continue to go to church with my family. I will also keep learning about God and Jesus. I will also read in church during the service.

John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
1. Why did I choose my confirmation verse?
I chose this verse because it means something. It gives me hope that God has been with us since the beginning. When I open the Bible I know I can talk to God. I am thankful for God because He walks with me every single day.
2. How has my faith developed over the last 2 years?
I trust in God more. He still forgives us when we know we messed up really bad. I got a deeper understanding of the Ten Commandments and the Lord’s Prayer. I enjoyed the service projects we did at the Middle School Gathering.
3. How am I planning on being a part of the body of Christ here at Trinity?
I will continue to come to worship service. I want to help other people learn about God. I want to be a part of the Youth group. I want to continue to help with the Vacation Bible School.

Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the darkest valet, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff—they comfort me.”
1. Why did I choose my confirmation verse?
I chose Psalm 23:4 because in this verse it talks about not being afraid when God is with us. I thought that was a good verse to have and remember because you should never fear anything when God is with you because he has a plan for all of us and we can trust in him and have faith in him. This verse meant something to me because even if you are scared or in the dark you should fear nothing because God is with you always. I fear no evil when I am alone because I know I am never truly alone when I’m with God.
2. How has my faith developed over the last 2 years?
My faith has developed greatly in these last two years because confirmation has helped me have more faith in him. It has helped me think I will never be alone as long as Christ is with me. My faith has grown because confirmation taught me things I never knew about Christ and how much he really gave up for everyone. It has helped me grow everyday and learn new things and appreciate everything He has done for me and everyone in this room.
3. How am I planning on being a part of the body of Christ here at Trinity?
I am planning on being involved in the church by going to Youth group. I am also planning on helping with church maintenance whenever it is needed. I want to help with church maintenance because people think it isn’t important but really it is very, very important. I plan on helping be a musician for Sunday mornings before Sunday school. Helping be one of the musicians is important to me because at school I do band and choir and applying those skills to Sunday music will help me do better at school in these two subjects.

Proverbs 3:6 “In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you, and crown your efforts with success.”
1. Why did I choose my confirmation verse?
I chose my verse for many reasons. The first reason is because I thought it fit my personality. Another reason is that if you put God first in life, you will feel like way better of a person. Also if you put God first, you will be more successful. Those are some of the reasons that I chose my confirmation verse.
2. How has my faith developed over the last 2 years?
My faith has developed over the last 2 years in many ways. It has developed because I go to church way more now. I have learned so much about God. One thing I learned is that God is the one thing that I will stick with until I am super old.
3. How am I planning on being a part of the body of Christ here at Trinity?
I am planning on being a part of this church after getting confirmed. One thing I will do is Youth group. I will go to this church after I graduate confirmation on most Sundays if I can. Those are the things that I will do after confirmation to stay involved with the church.

Psalm 31:4 “Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!”
1. Why did I choose my confirmation verse?
I chose this confirmation because it was also my dad’s and grandma’s verse. Out of all the verses that one stood out to me the most. It makes me believe in myself. It helps me know that God is always with me.
2. How has my faith developed over the last 2 years?
I have learned about God himself and what He did for us on the cross. I have learned more about baptism and communion and what the Apostles’ Creed means and why it is important. It helps me know that I am redeemed. I know God is with me through it all, through the good and the bad times.
3. How am I planning on being a part of the body of Christ here at Trinity?
I plan to be active in Youth group, help with Bible school, be a scripture reader, and keep going to church services.

Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who has faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”
1. Why did I choose my confirmation verse?
I chose this verse because I really am not ashamed of the gospel. Those in public may shame me for asking them to not use my Lord’s name in vain, but I will still believe. I may feel that I stand out from everyone else in school, but I will believe in the Holy Trinity. For in God lies forgiveness, trust, and power.
2. How has my faith developed over the last 2 years?
In the past 2 years, my faith has developed for God and Jesus Christ. I have not only participated in confirmation, but I have also helped those who want to believe and don’t know how to use it. For example, in the past 2 months, I have helped someone with faith, for they asked questions, and I answered. Another time, around 2 years ago, my friend and I were in a tornado, and I told him to pray, and like magic, his worries were gone.
3. How am I planning on being a part of the body of Christ here at Trinity?
I am planning to be a part of the body of Christ after I am confirmed through reading, ushering, and greeting. I will read until my voice and lungs can’t read anymore. I shall usher with Christ in mind, delivering offering to Pastor Koos, and the blood of Christ to the congregation. Finally, I will greet with my heart’s content, meeting those who are new to Christianity and those who have built their faith over years, and shall meet Christ in heaven.

Psalm 28:7 “The Lord is my strength and shield; in him my heart trust; so I am helped, and heart exults, and with song I give thanks to him.”
1. Why did I choose my confirmation verse?
I chose my memory verse because it was the verse that I felt described me the best. I like the idea that God gives me strength and protects me as long as I trust him. I also like that I can give thanks to him in many ways, including song because I like to sing.
2. How has my faith developed over the last 2 years?
My faith has developed a lot over the past two year. During confirmation, I became closer to God and know more about him. I have had many experiences because of confirmation that made me feel closer to the Lord. I have attended confirmation camp at Camp Carol Joy Holling. I have attended the Middle School Gathering in Kearney. I have been to both Halloween and Prom celebrations for our special friends in Beatrice and I have also helped our High School Youth group at the People City’s Mission feed the homeless. All the experiences made me feel that my heart was more open to God and how He helps me to help others.
3. How am I planning on being a part of the body of Christ here at Trinity?
I plan on being a part of the body of Christ at Trinity once I am confirmed by joining the congregation. I want to be a member of the church and when I get older maybe help teach Sunday school and continue to volunteer to help with Vacation Bible School. My neighbor Bailey got married here in February, maybe someday, I could even do that. Even though my dad says I have to be 30 years old before I can start dating.

Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
1. Why did I choose my confirmation verse?
I chose this verse because I believe in the Lord our God and when I’m having a bad day or have to do something that I’m scared of going, I just remember that the Lord is with me and I will never be afraid and always be strong and courageous in whatever I choose to do.
2. How has my faith developed over the last 2 years?
I used to not be able to go to church as much. Now I know what the Bible all says and by what Jesus said. Now I can help the church out with what Jesus said and try to get the people who don’t believe in God or don’t go to church to get them to believe. Now I will be able to go to church every Sunday and be able to go to heaven. Just believe in God, and Jesus with my whole heart.
3. How am I planning on being a part of the body of Christ here at Trinity?
I will help out with communities helping around the church if something needs to be done I will do it. Also by taking care of the outside yard work and help the people that do the work so they don’t need to do it all. I will help with getting food ready for other people so it doesn’t take that long to do. Also I will help clean the church up. I just want to do this to make this church look much better. I will help the teachers out a bunch.
